Residential Property Tax Calculator

April 24, 2008 – Support is growing in the state legislature for a bill that would limit the amount of residential property taxes people pay. New Yorkers who make less than $250,000 a year would receive an income tax credit for 70 percent of the property taxes they paid over a certain threshold. The threshold in Central New York would range from 6 to 8 percent of a person's income, depending on how much money he or she makes. Confused?
